A Marine with Combat Service Support Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, fires an M249 squad automatic weapon under the supervision of an instructor during a field exercise conducted at Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 7, 2017. The field exercise served as pre-deployment training designed to sharpen operational skillsets including vehicle convoys; chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defensive tactics; and proper employment of crew-served weapons.
