John Richardson, left, meets with air department Sailors in the hangar bay of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a ship tour. The tour of Bonhomme Richard is part of Richardson’s scheduled visit to the forward-deployed Sailors of the U.S. 7th Fleet. During his time aboard, CNO Richardson was able to interact with deckplate Sailors and receive feedback from key leaders on the recently released comprehensive review, as well as thank those serving forward as the holidays approach. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
