    Swansboro, N.C., native Cpl. Phillip Coutts reads a voltage meter while working on a generator in need of repair. The 26-year-old is a generator mechanic with Support Platoon, Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (Forward). His job consists of making sure all generators work and function correctly, an essential part of the Marine Corps' energy resource in a deployed environment. He is currently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
