Marine veteran Sgt. Jose Gonzalez from San Antonio, Texas, takes a lead off the starting blocks in the 100-meter dash during the 2011 Warrior Games track and field meet in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 17. Gonzalez, a Uvalde High School graduate, was injured during a deployment to Iraq in 2005 with 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines Regiment. Gonzalez walked away with four gold medals. The Warrior Games are a paralympic-style competition for wounded, ill or injured service members.
