(Dec. 16, 2017) Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Nicholas Jones, from the Bronx, New York and a Sailor assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), pays tribute to a fallen servicemember after laying a wreath on the grave during a Wreaths Across America event at Hampton National Cemetery. George Washington Sailors, veterans, and civilian volunteers laid more than 7000 wreaths during the event. George Washington is undergoing a refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a nearly four-year project performed only once during a carrier's 50-year service life that includes refueling of the ship's two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repair, upgrades and modernization.
