Pfc. Dustin T. Nelson, a native of Smyer, Texas, assigned as a surveyor to the 4th Platoon, 181st CBRN Company, uses a sealed, rubber-protected probe to collect soil and plant samples to be analyzed by the vehicle’s sensing equipment March 1 at Fort Hood. This was part of a multi-day training exercise designed to test the capabilities of the newest tool in the CBRN arsenal, the Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle.
