U.S. Special Operations Forces conduct a helocast from an AH-47 Chinook at Stennis Airfield, Mississippi, Oct. 26, 2017. Exercise Southern Strike 18 is a total force, multi-service training exercise hosted by the Mississippi Air National Guard's Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi, Oct. 23 through Nov. 3, 2017. The Southern Strike 18 exercise emphasizes air-to-air, air-to-ground, and special operations forces training opportunities.
