Soldiers of the Ohio National Guard’s 16th Engineer Brigade spent part of their annual training period this summer providing demolition support for the city of Youngstown as part of the South Side Blight Removal and Greening (SS-BRAG) project, through the Department of Defense Civil-Military Innovative Readiness Training Program. During breaks, when not tearing down decrepit houses, Soldiers spent time building relationships with local residents. (Ohio National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Michael Carden)
