At a time when the simultaneity and breadth of national security challenges facing America are more pronounced than in previous decades, the men and women of the 460th Space Wing offer a national security competitive advantage to U.S. decision-makers given our ability to provide persistent global infrared surveillance and warning for America and our allies. The 460 SW command team considered these trends, reviewed our higher headquarters commanders’ intent, and set out to validate our vision and mission while refining wing priorities to ensure unity of effort and strategic alignment throughout the chain of command.
