Members of the Spanish Guardia Civil Training Team, Task Force Besmaya, construct an enclosure Jan. 3, 2018 at Besmaya Training Complex, Iraq. The Spanish-led task force is training the Iraqi Border Guard Force in the construction and operation of border outposts, as well as the employment of standardized equipment sets known as Border Guard in a Box. The Iraqi Border Guard Force is in charge of controlling movements across the border and preventing terrorist infiltration. Besmaya Training Complex is one of several training locations supported by Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve, the international military coalition to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
