GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Jan. 3, 2018) U.S. Navy recruits practice fighting fires as a team at the USS Chief firefighting trainer at Recruit Training Command. Recruits practice fire fighting through hands-on learning. Instructors spend several days training recruits, covering topics ranging from basic damage control equipment to advanced shipboard fire fighting techniques.
