Body armor and better battlefield resuscitation are keeping more service members alive after explosions. A second-order effect of this is the large number of extremity wounds Army medical personnel now see. As a result, the TIRM PMO is focusing on harnessing the ability of human cells to regenerate—to regrow—and offering that solution to injured service members.
