YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 8, 2018) Sailors heave a mooring line to help safely lower the anchor chain onto a barge for easier maintenance access during the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan's (CVN 76) Selected Restricted Availability (SRA). During SRA, ship repairs and alterations will be performed in partnership with repair and maintenance activities to prepare the ship to support future operational commitments. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
