Seaman Tashina Rogers, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), takes part in a Habitat for Humanity Brushes with Kindness community service project at a community center in the Mariners Harbor House on Staten Island. New York has 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center towers forged into her bow and is participating in the 24th annual Fleet Week New York.
