Maj. Gen. Dana J. H. Pittard, commanding general, 1st Armored Division and Fort Bliss, presents Mr. Lawson Sakai, a highly decorated World War II veteran and member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, with the initial 1st Armored Division coin to be presented since the division moved from Germany to Fort Bliss. Sakai was the guest speaker at the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Observance at the Centennial Club on East Fort Bliss May 26.
