MANAMA, Bahrain (Jan. 18, 2018) Aimee Cutrona, Chargé d'Affaires for the U.S. Embassy in Manama, Bahrain, speaks onboard the French navy Mistral-class amphibious assault ship LHD Tonnerre (L9014) during a reception. Tonnerre, with embarked Marines and Sailors from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5), is conducting maritime security operations within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure regional stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce.
