A Soldier from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division from Fort Drum, New York play the role of the Afghan National Army during the 1st Security Force Assistance’s Joint Readiness Training Center rotation at Fort Polk, La., Jan. 21, 2018. The Soldier provides medical aid to a fictional villager who suffered wounds from a vehicle born improvised explosive device. In the scenario, the ANA receives medical aid training from the 1st SFAB before they go out on their mission. 1BCT had Soldiers from five battalions role play as the Afghan National Army to act as the 1st SFAB’s foreign partner during training events.
