Cpl. Brian J. Mages is an aircraft electrician with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 267, deployed out of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Mages, a native of Reading, Ohio, is currently deployed to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). Mages prepares aircraft weapons, navigation and communication. Mages said the most interesting aspect of the deployment for him has been knowing that at times his job supports his younger brother who is a Marine deployed with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment in southwestern Afghanistan.
