An inert munition is laid aside at Townsend Bombing Range, Ga., Jan. 24. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Marines were called to dispose of any munitions that still contained spotting rounds, a small explosive blast that is used to show pilots where the munition landed. The Marines safely disposed of the munition so range personnel can drive vehicles in the target area to conduct range maintenance. The EOD Marines are with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron and Marine Wing Support Detachment 31.
