    II Marine Expeditionary Force

Sgt. Dustin McPhearson, a platoon sergeant, steadies a tripod for the MK19 machine gun during a defilade range exercise at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 25, 2018. The training allows Marines to practice hitting targets from behind a berm without an organic view of the range. By using UAS and Saber systems to view impact points, Marines can determine accurate elevation for the MK19 machine gun while keeping personnel out of enemy sight and lines of fire. McPhearson is with Weapon’s Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Gloria Lepko)
