PEARL HARBOR NAVAL BASE, HI – A Sailor with the America Amphibious Ready Group aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) salutes as they pass the USS Arizona Memorial leaving port, Jan. 25, 2018. Manning the rails is a Naval tradition every deploying ship performs and is a method of saluting or rendering honors used by naval vessels. The 15th MEU and America ARG are currently deployed on a routine seven-month deployment to the U.S 3rd, 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation as a crisis response and contingency force.
