USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) Conducts a fueling-at-sea (FAS) with USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204)

180128-N-NB544-018 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 28, 2018) Ensign Melissa Trykowski, from Chardon, Ohio, uses a telescopic alidade to determine the bearing of the Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204) on the bridge of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as it approaches the Rappahannock for a fueling-at-sea. Bonhomme Richard is operating in the Indo-Pacific region as part of a regularly scheduled patrol and provides a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
