180128-N-NB544-025 PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 28, 2018) Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Chris Bishop, from Owasso, Okla., uses a sound-powered telephone to communicate with replenishment at sea stations three and seven on board the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) during a fueling-at-sea with the Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204). Bonhomme Richard is operating in the Indo-Pacific region as part of a regularly scheduled patrol and provides a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
