PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 30, 2018) An AV-8B Harrier assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 (Reinforced), assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), departs the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) for the final time for their deployment. America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is returning from a 7-month deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th and 7th fleet areas of operations.
