180202-N-FN963-040 SAN DIEGO (Feb. 2, 2018) Family and friends await the arrival of the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22) as it returns to Naval Base San Diego after a seven-month deployment. San Diego, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is returning from a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East.
