Retired Col. Gregory Gadson talked to the Soldiers of the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Command during the monthly awards ceremony on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Aberdeen Proving Ground-Edgewood Area Chapel. Gadson spoke about the adversity he faced in May 2007 due to the traumatic injuries he received when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in Iraq. Now, as a double amputee, he inspired the Soldiers with an emphasis on personal resilience and faith. For his message and continuing connection to Soldiers, he was presented with the command's blanket by the 20th CBRNE Command leadership, Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Graham (left) and Brig. Gen. James Bonner.
