A soldier from the 368th Engineering Battalion presents the combat patch of the 302d Maneuver Enhancement Brigade to another soldier during a Combat Patch Ceremony on Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The patch, indicating wartime service, was presented June 6, the anniversary of D-Day, in recognition of the battalion's first wartime engagement during the invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach, June 6, 1944. The 368th Engineer Battalion, or Faisons, is deployed to Afghanistan as part of Task Force Overlord. The 25th Naval Construction Regiment, from Gulfport, Miss., is the command and control element for Task Force Overlord, which is responsible for construction engineering and engineering support in southern, southwestern and western Afghanistan.
