Two Soldiers embrace after the memorial ceremony for a fallen friend, Sgt. Jason Shaffer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-12 Combined Arms Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Shaffer died from wounds received in combat, April 5. Fellow comrades honored Shaffer with a memorial ceremony at Forward Operating Base Warhorse, April 8.
