Todd Glasser, center, commander of the combined U.S.-French landing force embarked aboard French amphibious assault ship LHD Tonnerre (L9014), speaks with Qatar Emiri Navy Forces (left) and French military (right) during a visit while underway. The Tonnerre, with embarked Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51, 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade Marines and Sailors, is conducting maritime security operations within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to ensure regional stability, freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in coordination with their regional partners.
