U.S., Royal Thai and Republic of Korea Marines helocast from a CH-53E Super Stallion during Exercise Cobra Gold 2018 at the Sattahip district in the Chonburi province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 12, 2018. Helocasting is a method of inserting reconnaissance and surveillance teams in support of small boat operations. This training provided a venue for both United States and allied nations to advance interoperability and increase partner capacity in planning and executing complex and realistic multinational force and combined task force operations.
