In one of the final tests for the F-35B in the system development and demonstration phase of flight testing, Feb. 8, BF-3 lines up behind a KC-10 from the 305th Air Mobility Wing from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, for fuel during a flutter and buffet test mission on its 691st flight. The test, piloted by Dan Levin, was flown with external 2,000 pound GBU-31, 1,000 pound GBU-32, and AIM-9x weapons from Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland.
