Tacoma, Wash. – Lt. Gen. Gary J. Volesky, commanding general of America's First Corps and Joint Base Lewis McChord, gives Sgt. Timothy Nicholas, Honor Guard noncommissioned officer-in-charge, 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 229th Aviation Regiment, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, permission to post the colors as part of the official start of the I Corps centennial ball at the Murano Hotel, February 10, 2018. Soldiers of the honor guard wore both modern and replica period uniforms in celebration of the corps rich history beginning in World War I.
