Troopers from 3rd Attack Helicopter Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division receive preliminary marksmanship instruction on the Mk 19 grenade launcher and the M2 .50 caliber machine gun Feb 21 at the Illesheim Engagement Skills Trainer in Illesheim, Germany. This training is preparation for the Operation Atlantic Resolve training exercise Dynamic Front. The Dynamic Front series is designed to develop the capabilities of U.S. and allied fires units to operate side-by-side, from identifying targets at a multinational, theater-level command to tactical units pulling lanyards in the field.
