Maj. Gen. David Quantock, commanding general, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood presided at the 236th Army birthday commemoration held June 14 on Gerlach Field. The installation celebrated the American ideals of freedom and way of life, love of country, and the tapestry of rich design that has come to represent the Army’s heritage. Quantock reflected on the rich traditions that are part of the U.S. Army, and pride of service that the 236th Army birthday represents in terms of the selfless commitment of service members, their families, and veterans, past and present.
