An Indonesian armed forces private provides security for his fellow soldiers while they identify a potential threat as part of counter improvised explosive device training, the focus of the field training exercise during Exercise Garuda Shield, June 14. Over the course of two weeks, U.S. soldiers from the Asia Pacific C-IED Fusion Center are training approximately 240 Indonesian soldiers on identifying and defeating IEDs and how to react when facing danger.
