Col. Mike Manion, 55th Wing commander, thanks Gail Farrell, a 93-year old World War II and Korean War veteran who flew 21 missions as a tail gunner in the B-17 Flying Fortress, for his service prior to a medal presentation ceremony at the James M. McCoy Airman Leadership School Feb. 8, 2018. Manion presented Farrell with an Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters; the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze service stars; the American Campaign Medal; the World War II Victory Medal; and the Honorable Service Lapel Button, WWII.
