Surrounded by windows in his cockpit, an 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter pilot flies in the mountains just west of Fort Carson, Colo., May 5. The 82nd CAB pilots have been conducting High Altitude Mountain Environmental Training, to prepare for their coming mission in Afghanistan. As the Army’s only single-engine helicopter, the Kiowas must overcome more power limitations, in general, than the larger aircraft when flying at high altitudes. (U.S. Army photo by Capt. Chris Shaw, Task Force Saber, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade)
