A civilian mariner aboard the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Alan Shepard attaches supplies to a 330EV Puma helicopter during a vertical replenishment. The supplies will be taken to the guided-missile destroyer USS Preble, in background. Alan Shepard is assigned to Commander, Task Force 53, providing fuel and supplies to U.S. Navy and coalition ships in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
