180303-N-ZK021-0016 HONOLULU (March 3, 2018) Navy Reserve Sailors assigned to various commands aboard Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam fill in soil in a planter box during a Community Relation (COMREL) project at The Institute for Human Services (IHS) at Sand Island. IHS is one of the largest organizations on Oahu working to end homelessness on the island. The organizations supports an interim housing program for individuals who are transitioning out of homelessness, have found employment, and are seeking affordable permanent housing.
