Petty Officer 2nd Class Joe Lopez and Seaman Michael Myers, gunner's mates both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1, disassemble an M2H .50-caliber machine gun during a training exercise. NMCB-1 is deployed to Kandahar as part of Task Force Overlord. The task force, commanded by the 25th Naval Construction Regiment from Gulfport, Miss., is responsible for all construction engineering and engineering support in south and southwest Afghanistan.
