ATLANTIC OCEAN (Feb. 21, 2018) U.S. Marines Corps UH-1Y Venom helicopters, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, takes off during a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel drill aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) Feb. 21, 2018. Marines conduct mission rehearsals to maintain a constant state of readiness and improve their techniques, tactics, and procedures while deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
