180220-N-VU574-1005 SAN DIEGO (February 20, 2018) Cmdr. Antonio Hyde, commanding officer of USS Forth Worth (LCS 3), gives an overview of the ship's capabilities to several House Armed Service Committee Communications Directors. Fort Worth was one of several commands the visitors toured as part of a day-long U.S. Navy familiarization visit. Fort Worth is a Freedom-variant littoral combat ship and is designed to be fast, agile, shallow draft, and mission-focused with the ability to operate in littorals and open ocean.
