Pallets loaded with much-needed supplies drop out of the back of a C-130 Hercules on their way to a forward operating base in Oruzgan province, Afghanistan, June 22. Two C-130s, one from the Alaska Air National Guard and one from the New York Air National Guard, performed the formation airdrop. Airdrops help mitigate the danger of transporting supplies via convoy.
