Petty Officer 3rd Class Jacob Jackson, gunner’s mate, Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 4, is presented the Navy and Marine Corps Medal June 23 by Rear Adm. Michael Tillotson, commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. Jackson was recognized for his bravery when he pulled a driver to safety moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
