Lance Cpl. Matthew Kirkman, a radio technician with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, is the newest member of the 2nd MLG Color Guard and serves as a rifle bearer. Kirkman jumped at the opportunity to become a member of the team, because it allows him to represent the Marine Corps in ceremonies and parades up and down the eastern seaboard.
