Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians rappel from a SH-60 helicopter during Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group 1 family day. The event, held as part of a ribbon cutting for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11's new facility, included tours, static displays, a 5K run, helicopter rappelling demonstrations and an unveiling of a memorial recognizing fallen Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians are trained to operate in all environments and locate, identify, render safe, recover, and dispose of explosive ordnance, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear.
