EAST CHINA SEA (March 13, 2018) Sailors fight a simulated class alpha fire on the Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1633 in the well-deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during a damage control training drill. Ashland is conducting an amphibious certification as a final readiness preparation in advance of a routine patrol in the Indo-Pacific region with the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group.
