Christopher Vega receives the New Yorik State Medal of Valor, the state's highest military award, from Naval Militia Rear Admiral Ten Eyck " Trip" Powell, during a ceremony on Wednesday, March 14 at Camp Smith Training Site in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
