Command Sgt. Maj. Rodney R. Lewis, right, senior enlisted advisor of 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, pins an Army Achievement Medal on the uniform of Sgt. Ian Faling, a senior line medic with Company B, 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 2nd AAB, 1st Inf. Div. and a Jackson, Mich., native, for winning the brigade Noncommissioned Officer of the Quarter board June 16, at Camp Liberty, Iraq. Faling received for his efforts an Army Achievement Medal and a commander’s coin for excellence. In September, he will compete to earn the title of the brigade NCO of the Year.
