A Mine Resistant Ambush Protected simulator, containing nine Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 at Kandahar Airfield, provides a real life simulation of a vehicle roll over, which can severely injure troops who utilize them during combat operations in Afghanistan. The simulation also teaches the Seabees and other coalition forces on proper egress techniques in the event of an actual emergency. NMCB-1 a construction battalion based in Gulfport, Miss., is deployed to Kandahar as part of Task Force Overlord The task force, commanded by the 25th Naval Construction Regiment from Gulfport, Miss., is responsible for all construction engineering and engineering support in South and Southwest Afghanistan.
